Last updated April 2026. This is a real, plain-English summary — not legal boilerplate.

The short version

Better Days Planner™ is built around the principle that your readiness data is none of our business. The app stores all your information — household members, inventory, plan, recipes, allergies — on your device, in your browser. Not on a server. Not in our database. We don't have a database.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app does not phone home, does not collect telemetry, and does not track usage. The only network call the app ever makes is an optional, opt-in fetch to api.weather.gov when you turn on weather alerts and provide a ZIP code. That ZIP code is sent to the National Weather Service to retrieve alerts for your area. It is not stored by us; we do not have a server to store it on.

What this website collects

This website (betterdaysplanner.com) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy policy), which is privacy-respecting and does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or third-party tracking. We see aggregate traffic counts and which pages people visit. We do not see who you are.

If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is stored with our email provider, MailerLite (privacy policy). We use it to send you the free Family Readiness Pocket Guide and occasional newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

The newsletter signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam submissions. Turnstile is privacy-respecting by design — it does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or third-party tracking, and is governed by the same Cloudflare Privacy Policy as the rest of the site.

Purchases

If you buy Better Days Planner, your purchase is processed by Gumroad (privacy policy) or, if you bought through Etsy, by Etsy (privacy policy). We see your name, email address, and order details so we can send you product updates.

What we don't do

Your rights

You can request a copy of any data we hold about you (essentially: your email address and order history) or ask us to delete it. Email hello@betterdaysplanner.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.

Children

Better Days Planner is intended for adults planning for households. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, signed up for our newsletter), email hello@betterdaysplanner.com and we'll delete it promptly.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are material, we'll email anyone on the newsletter list before the changes take effect.
